Do Submarine Pickups output separate signals for each string?

Yes – all Submarine pickups are designed to provide independent outputs, but the configuration varies by model:

Submarine (2-string pickup) – Each of the two strings can be routed to its own channel. The outputs are split with a simple Y-cable, giving you two completely separate signals.

SubPro (6-string pickup with switching) – The Pro includes built-in switches that let you assign strings to channels in different ways. For example, you can group bass strings together and treble strings together for stereo, or send individual strings to their own channels. We recommend assigning no more than four strings to one channel to maintain strong signal levels.

SubSix (6-string pickup with full separation) – Each string is hard-wired to its own output, giving six completely independent channels. This is the best choice for advanced setups where you want total control of each string.

This multi-channel flexibility is one of the key features of Submarine pickups, allowing you to pan, effect, or record each string separately, or group them in whichever way suits your playing style.
