Can the SubPro and SubSix be permanently mounted or hardwired?
Yes â though the method depends on whether youâre fitting it to an acoustic or an electric guitar.
Acoustic guitars â The simplest option is to mount the pickup permanently in the soundhole. Depending on how many outputs you want, you may not need to drill another endpin jack. A stereo endpin jack can carry both the pickup signal and your existing piezo/mic system, and then be split with a Y-cable outside the guitar.
Electric guitars â Permanent installs usually mean routing the pickup signal to an extra output or into the existing controls. This may require additional drilling for a dedicated output jack, depending on your wiring preferences and how many signals you want to separate.
Most players still choose the removable system for flexibility, but permanent mounting is a solid option if you want one guitar always ready to go.
