What string height and clearance does the pickup need?

The pickup requires about 9 mm of clearance beneath the strings. The ideal working distance is 3–8 mm, which can be adjusted with the included screws or neoprene pads. If space is limited, the baseplate can be removed or the pickup positioned closer to the bridge where clearance is greater.
