Yes – the pickup will mount securely on top of most scratchplates. If the plate is unusually thick or raised, you can apply a D-shaped neoprene pad to the baseplate, then place a nanosuction pad on top of the neoprene. This raises the pickup so it sits level and the pads sit flush against the scratchplate surface, ensuring the sensors line up evenly under the strings.

The pickup can also be installed closer to the bridge, where string clearance is often greater. Some players prefer this position for both a more secure fit and a slightly different tonal balance.
