How do I remove the baseplate on the SubPro or SubSix?
Use the supplied hex key to loosen the height adjustment screws evenly.
-
Give each height adjustment screw about one turn.
-
Move to the next screw and do the same, alternating between screws so the baseplate comes away evenly.
-
Repeat until the baseplate lifts free.
Removing the baseplate typically gives you around 1 mm of extra clearance, which is often enough.
If you still need more clearance, consider moving the pickup slightly closer to the bridge. String-to-body distance is often greater there, and the strings move less in that area, which can help reduce the chance of string buzz.
The nano suction pads can be used in the same way to seciure the pickup to your guitar
