Which Pickup is Right for You?

Each of our pickups allows you to isolate the signal from individual strings of your instrument, but there are some subtle yet important differences between each model. Let's take a closer look...

SUBSIX

SubSix closeup

The SubSix is our first truly hexaphonic guitar pickup – six independent channels of audio, one for each string, giving you infinite creative control over your instrument’s sound.

Each string’s signal is delivered on its own 1/4" output jack, ready for your interface, mixer, modular synth, or pedalboard. Isolate, process, and recombine strings to explore sound in entirely new ways. Spread strings across the stereo field, apply hexaphonic fuzz or modulation, trigger samples, shift pitch per string, or experiment with microtonal tunings and immersive spatial audio.

Fitting takes just seconds, no modifications, no wiring, no fuss. The SubSix is passive and fully analogue – a platform for musicians, builders, and experimenters who want to push beyond the boundaries of traditional guitar sound.

SUBPRO

The SubPro also contains six individual pickups, but unlike the SubSix, each one has its own switch, letting you route the sound of each string to the output of your choice. Impressive on its own, the SubPro truly shines when paired with effects pedals.

Add a sub-octave bass layer, create stereo spread, pitch-shift individual strings, trigger samples, or apply different reverbs across your strings. With up to four outputs available, the creative possibilities are virtually endless.

SUBMARINE

The one that started it all! The Submarine was designed to work alongside your existing pickups, not replace them. Simply slide it under the bass or treble side of your guitar to isolate and enhance selected strings.

Use it to expand what your guitar can do – run it through effects pedals to add deep sub-octave bass from the lower strings, or process the upper strings with their own effects chain. The onboard switch lets you choose one string, two strings, or mute the output entirely.

Fits to almost any electric or acoustic guitar in seconds – no modifications, no fuss.

Instruments for Exploration

Whether you’re expanding the voice of your guitar with the Submarine, experimenting with routing and string combinations using the SubPro, or exploring the full potential of hexaphonic sound with the SubSix, each model invites a different approach to sound and performance.

The Submarine is ideal for enhancing part of your instrument – adding depth, texture, or a secondary layer without changing how it plays. The SubPro offers hands-on control over signal paths and string groupings before the sound even leaves the guitar, making it a powerful tool for live or experimental setups. The SubSix provides precise control for those working with DAWs, audio interfaces, or modular systems, opening up a detailed world of per-string processing and spatial sound design.

All three share the same principles: low-profile design, simple installation, and no permanent modifications. Together they form a modular family of tools that let you explore, adapt, and redefine what a guitar can be.
