"Today I'm demoing the Submarine Pickups SubPro; one of the most creative guitar tools I've ever used. Instead of treating your guitar as a single signal, the SubPro lets you route individual strings or groups of strings to different outputs, opening up an entirely new world of sound design. Whether you want stereo rigs, sub-octave bass, per-string pitch shifting, ambient textures, synth-like sounds, layered distortion, or multiple effects chains running at once, the possibilities are enormous. For this demo, I mounted the SubPro on my Mule Resophonic Mulecaster and explored as many ideas as I could. You'll hear ambient soundscapes, lo-fi textures, synth-inspired patches, heavy gain, clean tones, stereo routing, and a variety of pedal combinations to show just how versatile this pickup can be. With six individual pickups, six routing switches, and support for up to four outputs, the SubPro becomes less of a pickup and more of a creative instrument for guitarists who love to experiment.
